Summer School in Homer
University College London
The Summer School in Homer is held every year at University College London. It offers five days of intensive teaching in Homer, including language and literature classes. Lectures and other events are included each day after the classes.
Teaching groups usually comprise not more than 15-20 students and the varied classes offered include beginners, intermediate and advanced.
Caroline first attended the Summer School in Homer as a student and returned the following year as one of the tutors. She teaches the Intermediate Class in which students read parts of Homer’s Odyssey Book 5 in the original Greek.
More information on the Summer School is on the UCL website which can be accessed here:
I have really enjoyed this week - it has been both relaxed and very interesting, and I think Caroline was a huge reason for that. She has been so friendly and helpful all week and really put everyone at ease.
